The Southern Land

I was luckily granted the opportunity to join a photography group organised by Australian photographers and photojournalists Matthew Abbott and Andrew Quilty to photograph the great, untamed, brutal and fragile world of Antarctica.

I aimed to capture the vastness and emptiness of this unique landscape, where time seemed to stand still, separated from the bustling of human existence. The natural beauty of the surrounding scaling ice mountains merging together with the pristine, clear sea creates a truly raw and powerful land.

Reflecting on these photographs, I am reminded of the fragility of the natural world. As resilient as Antarctica may appear, it is not immune to our human presence and remains vulnerable to our footprint. I hope these photographs can exist as a reminder of Antarctica's beauty and a reminder ofof what we must strive to protect.
